What's Happening?
Kim Kardashian's Skims has partnered with The North Face for a second time to release a limited-edition winter collection. This collaboration introduces a range of outerwear, including jackets and gloves,
and for the first time, kidswear such as down-filled snowsuits. The collection is designed to merge The North Face's technical expertise in ski and snowboard apparel with Skims' signature fit and design approach. The collection will be available in various colors, including bone, kyanite, gunmetal, phoenix, and onyx. Prices range from $55 to $800, and sizes are available from XXS to 3XL for adults and 0-24 months to 2T-7T for children. The collection will be available for purchase starting December 9, 2025, at 6 a.m. PT, both online and at select retail locations.
Why It's Important?
This collaboration between Skims and The North Face highlights a growing trend in the fashion industry where brands are merging technical performance with modern aesthetics. By introducing kidswear, the collection expands its market reach, potentially increasing sales and brand visibility. The partnership also underscores the importance of innovation in fashion, as both companies aim to redefine winterwear by combining functionality with style. This move could influence other fashion brands to explore similar collaborations, thereby impacting industry standards and consumer expectations.
What's Next?
As the collection launches, consumer response will be crucial in determining its success. Positive reception could lead to future collaborations between Skims and The North Face or inspire other brands to pursue similar partnerships. Retail performance during the holiday season will also provide insights into consumer demand for high-end, technically advanced winterwear. Additionally, the introduction of kidswear may prompt Skims to further expand its product lines to include more family-oriented offerings.
