Liberty Mutual Insurance has announced a new leadership structure for its Global Risk Solutions (GRS) and Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) divisions. Vlad Barbalat has been appointed as the president of
Global Risk & Capital Solutions while continuing his role as the chief investment officer of Liberty Mutual Group. He will report directly to CEO Tim Sweeney and will oversee the strategic goals for 2030 across GRS and LMI. Matthew Moore will remain the president of GRS, reporting to Barbalat, and will continue to manage the performance and operations of GRS. Adam Winn and Patrizio Urciuoli have been named co-presidents of LMI, also reporting to Barbalat, and will be responsible for the performance and operations of LMI. These changes are effective immediately and aim to align GRS and LMI more strategically, enhancing service to customers and partners.
