What's Happening?
Kraft Heinz Co. has introduced a new line of Jell-O snacks called Jell-O Simply, which is formulated without FD&C colors and artificial sweeteners. The product line includes instant pudding mix, gelatin
mix, and ready-to-eat gelatin. Jell-O Simply Ready-to-Eat is made with fruit juice and is available in flavors such as orange, raspberry lemonade, and blueberry, featuring 25% less sugar than the original Jell-O formulation. The gelatin and instant pudding mixes come in vanilla, chocolate, banana, and strawberry varieties, sweetened with sugar and stevia extract.
Why It's Important?
The launch of Jell-O Simply reflects Kraft Heinz's response to growing consumer demand for healthier snack options. By reducing sugar content and eliminating artificial ingredients, the company aims to appeal to health-conscious consumers seeking natural and less processed food products. This move aligns with broader industry trends towards clean label products and could help Kraft Heinz capture a larger share of the snack market. The reformulation may also enhance the brand's image as a provider of healthier alternatives, potentially boosting sales and customer loyalty.
