What's Happening?
Questcorp Mining and Riverside Resources have initiated Phase 2 of their exploration program at the La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico. This follows the completion of a 12-hole Phase 1 drill program that revealed significant findings, including high-grade
gold and silver intervals at the Union Mine and a new sediment-hosted gold discovery at Luis Hill. The Phase 2 exploration aims to refine existing drill targets and generate new ones, focusing on sediment-hosted gold targets and lead and zinc anomalies. The project encompasses multiple district-scale targets with various mineralization styles, including carbonate replacement deposits and Carlin-style systems. With necessary permits secured, the companies are set to proceed with a fully funded drilling phase.
Why It's Important?
The commencement of Phase 2 exploration at the La Union Project is crucial for Questcorp Mining and Riverside Resources as it represents a significant step in advancing their mineral exploration efforts. The project's potential to uncover substantial mineral resources could enhance the companies' positions in the mining sector and attract further investment. The focus on diverse mineralization styles, including emerging sediment-hosted gold potential, underscores the project's versatility and potential economic impact. Successful exploration could lead to increased resource estimates, boosting the companies' market value and contributing to regional economic development.
