What's Happening?
CyberAgent, Inc., through its subsidiary QualiArts, Inc., has announced the global pre-registration for 'hololive Dreams,' the first official mobile game for the female VTuber group 'hololive.' The announcement was made in collaboration with COVER Corporation.
The game, also known as 'holodori,' is a Rhythm & RPG set in an amusement park on a remote island. Players are tasked with completing various facilities for hololive members and building the magical 'DREAM PARK.' The game features over 50 virtual YouTubers and was unveiled during the 'hololive SUPER EXPO 2026.' Pre-registration is available on the App Store and Google Play, with several promotional campaigns launched to celebrate the event.
Why It's Important?
The launch of 'hololive Dreams' marks a significant expansion of the hololive brand into the mobile gaming market, potentially increasing its global reach and influence. The game's pre-registration campaigns, including milestone rewards and giveaways, are designed to attract a large user base, which could lead to substantial in-game purchases and revenue for CyberAgent and its partners. This move also highlights the growing trend of virtual influencers and VTubers in entertainment, reflecting a shift in how audiences engage with digital content. The success of this game could set a precedent for future collaborations between tech companies and virtual entertainment brands.
What's Next?
As pre-registration progresses, the response from the global audience will be crucial in determining the game's initial success. If the pre-registration numbers exceed expectations, it could lead to increased marketing efforts and further collaborations. The game's performance post-launch will be closely monitored to assess its impact on the mobile gaming industry and the potential for similar projects. Additionally, the reception of 'hololive Dreams' could influence future developments in the VTuber space, encouraging more companies to explore virtual influencer partnerships.
