What's Happening?
Kongsberg Maritime has been contracted by Consórcio Marenova to design and equip four methanol/ethanol-ready handy size product tankers for Petrobras Transporte S.A (Transpetro). The vessels will be built
in Brazil by a partnership between Ecovix and MacLaren. The contract, valued at over 300 million NOK, includes ship design and integrated systems such as propulsion, deck machinery, and advanced navigation solutions. The tankers are part of Kongsberg Maritime's NVC family, known for efficiency and adaptability to future fuels.
