A new exhibit titled 'A County Built on Iron' is being developed at The Depot in Duluth, Minnesota, to showcase the region's iron ore mining history. The exhibit will educate visitors on the industry's impact on local communities and its role in the state's
economic development. The project, supported by St. Louis County and various partners, aims to provide an interactive experience with artifacts, illustrations, and oral histories. The exhibit will cover the geology of iron ore, the transition to taconite mining, and the cultural influence of immigrants on the Iron Range.
