Meta has announced the launch of America’s Workforce Academy, a $115 million initiative aimed at training thousands of technicians in skilled trades to support the construction of AI data centers across the United States. The program, described as the largest
private-sector commitment to the skilled trades with a job guarantee in American history, will provide free training, paid airfare, lodging, and a daily stipend to participants. Trainees will earn industry-recognized credentials and are guaranteed jobs with Meta contractors upon completion of the five-week program. The initiative is being piloted in Indianapolis, Baton Rouge, Houston, and Columbus, Ohio, with plans to expand as Meta continues to build data centers to power its AI systems.
