What's Happening?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that the deadline to apply for their 2026 National Coaching Academy is December 31, 2025. This program, now in its third year, was established by the Glazer family,
owners of the Buccaneers, to create new pathways for coaches aspiring to work in the National Football League (NFL). The Academy offers a week-long immersive experience in Tampa, where 25 finalists are selected to participate in team meetings, on-field coaching sessions, and masterclasses led by prominent figures such as Head Coach Todd Bowles and General Manager Jason Licht. The program also includes sessions on film review, media training, and business insights. The Academy is open to individuals with at least three years of coaching or work experience in football at the high school, college, or semi-professional level. Participants receive full scholarships to cover their costs during the Academy, and five participants will be selected to return as fellows for training camp and preseason.
