The Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey (MAPONY/NJ) hosted its 32nd International Maritime Hall of Fame Awards on May 20, 2026, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. The event, attended by nearly 500 industry leaders, celebrated
four distinguished individuals for their significant contributions to the maritime sector. The honorees included Robert P. Burke, CEO of Ridgebury Tankers; James A. McNamara, Chief of Staff and Director of Public Relations at the International Longshoremen's Association; Captain John W. Murray, CEO of Port Canaveral; and Ted Tregurtha, President and CEO of Moran Holdings. These leaders were recognized for their leadership, innovation, and operational excellence, which have helped shape the future of the maritime industry.
