Santiago Fernández de Valderrama Aparicio, a 42-year-old AI specialist, developed an AI tool named Career-Ops to streamline his job search process. The tool, built using Claude Code from Anthropic, evaluated over 740 job listings and recommended 66 positions
based on his experience and interests. This innovative approach led to 12 interviews and ultimately secured him a position as the head of AI at a software company. Fernández de Valderrama Aparicio, who previously founded a retail phone repair company, decided to focus on AI for the next phase of his career. He released Career-Ops to the public, aiming to make it accessible to job seekers without monetizing it, as he considers job searching a basic need.
