The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley/Fisher junior varsity wrestling team achieved a commendable fifth-place finish at the Hawk Classic held in Fairbury. The event saw notable performances from several team members, with Kaden Huster winning the championship in the 120-pound category and Kollin Nash securing the title at 285 pounds. Julian Rodriguez also performed well, finishing second in the 106-pound category. Other team members, including Colton Johnson and Isaac Rotramel, finished fifth in their respective weight classes of 126 and 144 pounds. Additional placements included Kayden Fancher at sixth in the 132-pound category, Steven Morris at seventh in the 165-pound category, Blaine Lynch at tenth in the 138-pound category, Colby Chandler at thirteenth
in the 150-pound category, and Ayden Viering at fifteenth in the 190-pound category.
