Duke Energy has launched the Green Source Advantage Express program aimed at large business customers in North Carolina. This initiative is designed to provide nonresidential customers with a streamlined process to access renewable energy capacity on Duke Energy's
grid. The program allows participants to subscribe to capacity from new renewable energy facilities, enabling them to match up to 100% of their annual electricity use without needing to secure off-site generation independently. Early adopters of the program include major companies such as Cisco, United States Cold Storage, and Daimler Truck North America, indicating strong interest from businesses with significant logistics and cold chain operations. The program has already exceeded its initial enrollment targets, with 177.3 megawatts subscribed and allocated across Duke Energy's territories. Additionally, Duke Energy has introduced an Environmental Attribute Tracking tool in partnership with Cleartrace to help participants track clean energy attributes and carbon reductions.
