What's Happening?
Vattenfall, Energy Bank, and Volkswagen are collaborating on a trial in Sweden involving 200 bidirectional electric vehicle (EV) chargers. These chargers can transmit electricity to and from EVs, allowing them to support the grid. The trial aims to explore
the potential of EVs as virtual power plants, providing grid flexibility and backup. By connecting EVs to the grid, their stored electricity can be used for purposes beyond vehicle operation.
