The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has announced its 2026 program, featuring 25 films and special events for its 74th edition, scheduled from August 6th to 23rd across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Highlights include a live commentary
screening of 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' by John Cameron Mitchell, celebrating the cult rock musical's 25th anniversary. The festival will also showcase 'Jebediah: Are We OK?', a documentary tracing the Perth alt-rock band Jebediah's 30-year history. Additionally, the festival will feature 'Hear My Eyes: Memento', pairing Christopher Nolan's thriller with a live score. The MIFF Awards, supported by the Victorian Government, will present the $140,000 Bright Horizons Award on August 22nd.
