What's Happening?
Performance Hospitality has announced the completion of a significant renovation and rebranding of the former Holiday Inn & Suites Across from Universal Orlando, now reopened as the Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando. This transformation involved
a multi-million-dollar investment aimed at enhancing the guest experience with modern design and improved amenities. The hotel, located at 5916 Caravan Ct., is strategically positioned near Universal Studios theme parks, making it an attractive option for leisure, corporate, and convention guests. The renovation includes updated guest rooms, modernized public spaces, and new dining options such as The Bistro & Bar and The Crate Grab-N-Go. The hotel also offers amenities like outdoor pools, a fitness center, and over 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for April 9.
Why It's Important?
The reopening of the Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando is significant for the local tourism and hospitality industry, particularly given Orlando's status as a top U.S. travel destination. The renovation aligns with the growing demand for modern and convenient accommodations in the area, which is a hub for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel's proximity to major attractions like Universal Orlando Resort and the Orange County Convention Center positions it as a key player in the region's hospitality market. Additionally, the integration with Marriott Bonvoy, a globally recognized loyalty program, enhances its appeal to frequent travelers and event planners, potentially boosting occupancy rates and economic activity in the area.
What's Next?
The grand opening event on April 9 will mark the official launch of the newly renovated hotel, likely attracting attention from potential guests and local businesses. As the hotel begins operations under the Courtyard by Marriott brand, it will aim to capitalize on the anticipated influx of visitors to Orlando, especially as tourism continues to recover and grow. The hotel's management will focus on leveraging its new amenities and strategic location to attract a diverse clientele, including leisure travelers, corporate guests, and event organizers. The success of this rebranding effort could influence future hospitality projects in the region.
