Sinclair Community College and Sierra Nevada Corp. have partnered to establish the SNC Sinclair Academy, a new initiative aimed at training students for careers in aerospace and aviation maintenance. This program is designed to address a significant workforce
gap in the aviation industry, as highlighted by a recent Boeing study predicting a shortage of skilled professionals due to retirements. The academy will equip graduates with the skills needed to work on a variety of aircraft, from hot air balloons to commercial planes. The program will also assess and train non-student candidates who apply directly to Sierra Nevada. The academy is set to begin operations later this month.
