What's Happening?
Resolution Minerals, an Australian exploration company, is advancing its tungsten exploration at the Horse Heaven Project in Idaho. The project covers approximately 59 square kilometers within Boise National
Forest and includes 699 federal lode mining claims. The company has appointed David Hembree, a seasoned geologist, to lead the exploration efforts. Hembree will oversee a drill program scheduled for June 2026 and conduct metallurgical tests on existing stockpiles. The project aims to capitalize on high tungsten prices, currently at $900 per tonne, with expectations of further increases. Resolution is also acquiring the Johnson Creek Mill to enhance processing capabilities.
Why It's Important?
The Horse Heaven Project represents a significant opportunity for Resolution Minerals to tap into the growing demand for tungsten, a critical mineral used in various industrial applications. The project's success could bolster the U.S. supply of tungsten, reducing reliance on imports and supporting domestic industries. Additionally, the development of the project could create jobs and stimulate economic activity in Idaho. The high tungsten prices and strategic location near existing infrastructure make this project a potentially lucrative venture for Resolution Minerals.
What's Next?
Resolution Minerals plans to complete due diligence on the acquisition of the Johnson Creek Mill and proceed with the scheduled drill program in June 2026. The company will continue to explore additional tungsten resources within the project area, leveraging Hembree's expertise. The results of the exploration and metallurgical tests will determine the project's viability and potential expansion opportunities.
