What's Happening?
Workforce Solutions for North Central Pennsylvania is inviting employers from various industries to participate in a regional Career Pathway Mapping Project. This initiative aims to highlight career opportunities in North Central Pennsylvania through
the PA Six Careers website. The platform allows employers to create profiles, showcase their organizations, and outline career pathways and advancement opportunities at no cost. It serves as an educational resource connecting classrooms to local industries, helping students understand real career options available in their communities. Employers can map internal career progression, identify entry-level positions, advancement steps, required credentials, and long-term mobility within their companies. Workforce Solutions staff are available to assist employers in developing or refining their career pathway information.
Why It's Important?
The initiative is crucial in today's competitive labor market, where employers need visibility beyond job postings. By participating, employers can elevate their regional visibility and help schools integrate real-world career information into lesson plans and career exploration activities. This effort supports long-term workforce sustainability by helping students and job seekers understand the training, credentials, and advancement steps needed to build careers locally. Employers benefit by strengthening their talent pipeline, reinforcing their commitment to community engagement, and positioning their organization as a leader in workforce development.
