The Annecy Animation Film Festival has announced the opening of the Cité Internationale du Cinema d’Animation, a new institute aimed at expanding the festival's reach and reinforcing its status as a global animation hub. The institute will feature a variety
of events, including a showcase for Laika, the studio behind 'Coraline' and 'The Boxtrolls', and an exhibition dedicated to Ankama's 'Krosmoz' universe. The Cité will serve as a year-round cultural and educational hub, offering a vast screening room, artists' residency, and spaces for training courses. The inaugural exhibition, 'Ankama: From Sketch to Epic', will run through January 2027, exploring the studio's creative journey.
