The Palisades High School girls' basketball team faced a challenging defeat against Yuba City Faith Christian in the Division IV state championship game, held at Golden 1 Center. Despite the loss, the team showcased resilience, having overcome significant

Senior Ayla Teegardin, who lost her home in the fire, contributed three points and six rebounds during the game. The team struggled in the second half, scoring only 11 points, while Faith Christian's Lauren Harris, a standout player, led her team with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and several assists. The Palisades team, coached by Lebre Merritt, had to adapt to practicing at night and in middle schools until their gym reopened. The game ended with a score of 51-37 in favor of Faith Christian.
