Meta has announced an expanded partnership with Broadcom to co-develop multiple generations of custom AI silicon, known as Meta Training and Inference Accelerator (MTIA) chips. These chips are designed to power AI across Meta's apps and services, optimizing
performance and cost of ownership. The partnership leverages Broadcom's XPU platform, enabling seamless networking across Meta's AI compute clusters. The agreement includes a commitment exceeding 1GW, marking the first phase of a multi-gigawatt rollout.
