What's Happening?
Simon Betuel, a cosmetics producer by day and artist by night, has been creating deeply Jewish paintings influenced by renowned artists such as Rubens, Klimt, Vrubel, and El Greco. Raised in Ukraine, Betuel faced antisemitism and bullying during his childhood,
which led to his family's aliyah to Israel in 1991. In Israel, Betuel pursued art, drawing inspiration from his father's Judaica artistry. His works, which include figurative and abstract styles, often incorporate Hebrew letters and Torah verses. Betuel's art is exhibited in various galleries, including Al HaAgam Gallery in Ra'anana and Askila Gallery in Jaffa.
