David Briggs, co-founder and CEO of Sustainable Beef in North Platte, has been inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement. This recognition was part of an annual banquet where Briggs was among a dozen new members honored. As the president
and CEO of Western Cooperative Co. in Alliance since 2000, Briggs has expanded the cooperative to 17 locations and over 200 employees, serving producers across western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming. Under his leadership, Sustainable Beef developed a $400 million beef processing facility in North Platte, which began operations in 2025. This facility represents a significant investment in Nebraska's beef industry, enhancing market access and opportunities for regional producers.
