Thermal Grizzly is set to release a Noctua Edition of its WireView Pro II GPU power monitor, designed for graphics cards utilizing the 12V-2x6 power connector. This new edition was showcased by Roman Hartung, also known as Der8auer, during a segment at
Computex. The Noctua Edition retains the electrical monitoring capabilities of the original WireView Pro II, including per-pin sensing to detect uneven current distribution or potential contact issues. However, it introduces a larger 40 mm fan, replacing the 30 mm fan in the original, and includes a heatsink with a thermal pad near the connector solder area to enhance cooling. The modifications required adjustments to the PCB and an increase in the housing size by 7 mm. The larger fan is expected to allow the device to operate passively at higher loads, potentially up to 600W, without the fan spinning in systems with adequate airflow. The product is expected to launch in approximately three months, with a price of €199, compared to €119 for the regular version.
