What's Happening?
American Uranium has expanded its Lo Herma Uranium Project located in Wyoming's Powder River Basin by securing additional mineral rights and mining claims. The company acquired 1,040 acres of new uranium mineral rights around Mine Units 2 and 3, along
with 29 new federal mineral lode mining claims. These claims were staked along mineralized trends to the north and east of Mine Unit 2, covering a total area of 490 acres. Executive Director Bruce Lane emphasized that these acquisitions consolidate the company's position and remove land tenure constraints, potentially contributing to future resource growth. The company plans to commence drilling in early May 2026 and aims to deliver an updated resource estimate and Scoping Study by Q3 2026.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Lo Herma Uranium Project is significant for American Uranium as it strengthens its resource base and positions the company for future growth. By securing additional mineral rights and claims, the company can potentially increase its resource estimates, which is crucial for advancing its In-Situ Recovery Uranium Project. This development is also important for the uranium industry in the U.S., as it may contribute to domestic uranium production, reducing reliance on foreign sources. The entitlement offer to raise $2.58 million further supports the company's financial strategy, enabling it to fund drilling and other programs essential for project advancement.
What's Next?
American Uranium plans to begin drilling at the remaining 55 holes in May 2026, focusing on infill expansion and hydrogeological and metallurgical programs. The company is also preparing to deliver an updated resource estimate and Scoping Study in Q3 2026. The entitlement offer, which allows shareholders to subscribe for new shares and options, is expected to raise additional funds for these initiatives. As the project progresses, stakeholders, including investors and local communities, will be closely monitoring the outcomes of the drilling and resource estimation efforts.
