What's Happening?
Tainy, a renowned Puerto Rican music producer, has created the first original soundtrack for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. This project marks a significant collaboration between Major League Baseball and the music industry, aiming to reflect the international
nature of the tournament. The soundtrack features a diverse lineup of artists, including Mexican-American singer Becky G, K-pop star YEONJUN from TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Puerto Rican rappers Myke Towers and Young Miko, and Japanese artist Fujii Kaze. The soundtrack includes three tracks: 'Make It Count,' inspired by K-pop, 'MVP,' a trap song, and 'My Place,' an electronic dance track. Tainy worked with his longtime collaborators Albert Hype and Jota Rosa to produce these tracks. The World Baseball Classic, which runs through March 17, 2026, features 20 teams competing in four locations: Tokyo, San Juan, Miami, and Houston.
