Scenic Cruise has chosen Kongsberg Maritime to supply a comprehensive package of equipment for its new polar expedition vessel, the Scenic Ikon. This vessel will feature a hybrid electric propulsion system designed to enable emission-free operation in
sensitive environments. The Scenic Ikon will be the first in its series to utilize Kongsberg's Elegance Pods, which offer low noise, high efficiency, and excellent maneuverability. The vessel will also include an Energy Storage System for hybrid power, allowing for emission-free propulsion and hotel consumption. The Scenic Ikon is being constructed at the 3 Maj Shipyard in Croatia and is expected to be delivered in 2027.
