Apogee Power, a Taiwan-based energy technology and advanced battery manufacturer, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing and assembly facility in Liberal, Kansas. The Kansas Department of
Commerce revealed that the company will invest nearly $16 million over the next three to five years, creating 80 new jobs. The facility, located in Liberal's industrial corridor, will focus on the assembly, testing, and distribution of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems and related energy storage technologies for various applications across the United States. Initial operations are expected to begin this summer, with 30 employees hired in the first phase and more positions added as production increases.
