The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island has announced the appointment of Verousce McKibbin as the new Executive Pastry Chef. McKibbin, originally from South Africa, brings a wealth of international experience to the role, having trained at the Swiss Hotel School
and worked in Michelin-recognized establishments in Switzerland. Her career has been marked by a commitment to creativity and technical precision, with previous roles including overseeing pastry operations at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa. At The Ritz-Carlton, she will manage pastry operations across five dining outlets, including the award-winning Salt restaurant, and lead a team of 15 pastry professionals. McKibbin's approach to pastry is described as expressive and intentional, focusing on seasonal ingredients and balanced flavors.
