The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), the largest hotel association in the United States, has announced a new leadership team for its Board of Directors. Thom Geshay, CEO and President of Davidson Hospitality Group, has been appointed as Chair.
Jon Stanner, President and CEO of Summit Hotel Properties, and Jolyon Bulley, CEO of the Americas at IHG Hotels & Resorts, will serve as Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively, starting July 1, 2026. This leadership team is expected to guide the association in advancing policies that support the hotel industry and its workforce. Geshay, who has nearly four decades of experience in the hospitality sector, succeeds Liam Brown of Marriott International, who is retiring after a long tenure. The new leadership aims to address workforce challenges, increase travel demand, and support AHLA's diverse membership.
