Netflix has announced the casting of Betty Gilpin, Alec Baldwin, and David Costabile in its upcoming Las Vegas-set drama series titled 'The Roman.' The series, led by Oscar Isaac, is created by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, known for 'Billions,' and is executive
produced by Martin Scorsese. The storyline follows Robert 'Bobby Red' Redman, played by Isaac, who is the president of a prominent hotel-casino in Las Vegas. The series will explore his efforts to maintain and expand his influence in the city. Gilpin will portray Marla Blake, Bobby's wife and a savvy lawyer familiar with the city's underbelly. Baldwin takes on the role of Paul 'Primo' Clark, a legendary Vegas business figure and mentor to Bobby. Costabile will play Bill Saverick, a casino operator and both a friend and rival to Bobby. The series is set to be directed by J.C. Chandor, with the first two episodes already in production.
