The Fabricant has revealed the winners of its inaugural AI Design Forward 2026 competition, which focuses on emerging designers in the fashion industry utilizing AI design tools. The competition attracted submissions from 21 countries, with ten winners selected
from 15 finalists. The first prize was awarded to Tiia Jaakkola from the Kolding School of Design in Denmark for her collection 'Reborn Myths,' which creatively combines post-consumer denim waste with Finnish folklore and contemporary streetwear. The second and third places were awarded to Akriti Awatwani from Instituto Marangoni in Italy and Andre Fonseca Vieira from the University of Lisbon, respectively. Winners receive various benefits, including free access to The Fabricant's platform and features in their media channels.
