The San Jose Sharks have announced the signing of forward Carson Wetsch to a standard entry-level contract. Wetsch, a 20-year-old player, recently completed a standout season with the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he served
as team captain. During the 2025-26 season, he achieved career highs with 72 points and 50 assists over 65 games, tying for the team lead in assists and ranking second in scoring. His performance included 22 goals, five multi-goal games, and 21 multi-point efforts. Wetsch's junior career began in the 2021-22 season, and he has accumulated 196 career points over 246 WHL games. Internationally, he contributed to Canada's victory at the U-18 World Junior Championship in 2024. The Sharks selected Wetsch in the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
