Oklahoma State University has successfully secured the transfer of quarterback Drew Mestemaker from North Texas. Mestemaker, who was the leading passer in the FBS, delayed his decision to enter the transfer portal
until after North Texas's bowl game in December 2025. His decision to transfer was influenced by the move of North Texas head coach Eric Morris to Oklahoma State, along with several other UNT staff members. Oklahoma State capitalized on this by organizing a visit for Mestemaker and several of his UNT teammates, leading to his commitment on January 3, 2026.
