What's Happening?
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has announced the appointment of Anastacia Tshesane as the new CEO for its South African operations, effective July 1, 2026. Tshesane, who currently serves as the Chairman
of PwC’s Governing Board in South Africa and the Governance Board for Africa, will lead a team of over 5,200 employees across 14 offices in the country. She will also oversee Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting subsidiary. Tshesane has been with PwC for 19 years, primarily in the Assurance business, and has extensive experience leading audits for large local and multinational companies. She succeeds Shirley Machaba, who will retire at the end of June 2026 after a 24-year career with PwC.
