What's Happening?
The upcoming Paris Men's and Couture Fashion Week in January 2026 will introduce a fresh lineup of international designers. According to the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, eight new fashion
houses from countries including Spain and Saudi Arabia will debut their collections. The event will feature 67 brands showcasing fall 2026 menswear collections and 29 couture houses. Notable newcomers include Eli Russell Linnetz's label ERL and the Saudi Arabian brand KML. The schedule also includes significant changes, such as the final show of Véronique Nichanian at Hermès and Jonathan Anderson's second menswear collection for Dior. Established brands like Louis Vuitton and Comme des Garçons will maintain their traditional slots.
Why It's Important?
The inclusion of new international designers at Paris Fashion Week highlights the global nature of the fashion industry and its openness to diverse cultural influences. This event provides a platform for emerging designers to gain international recognition and potentially reshape fashion trends. The participation of brands like KML, which was a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize, underscores the increasing importance of global fashion competitions in discovering new talent. The changes in the schedule, such as Hermès' final show under Véronique Nichanian, mark significant transitions within established fashion houses, which could influence future design directions and brand strategies.
