Arafura Rare Earths has approved the development of its $1.6 billion Nolans project in Australia's Northern Territory. This project aims to produce 4,440 metric tons of neodymium-praseodymium oxide annually, targeting markets outside China. The project has secured
financing from export credit agencies in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and South Korea. Arafura will supply major companies like Hyundai, Kia, and Siemens Gamesa. Construction is set to begin in September, with production expected by mid-2029. The project is projected to meet up to 5% of global demand for rare earths.
