Schutte, a chartered accountant with over 30 years of experience in finance, governance, and mergers and acquisitions, has held senior positions in various mining companies across Africa. His previous roles include CFO positions in gold, coal, iron-ore, uranium, and platinum mining companies, including Meridian Africa. Neo Energy CEO Theo Botoulas highlighted Schutte's expertise in restructuring and corporate initiatives, noting his success in turning around underperforming assets. Schutte will collaborate with Botoulas to advance the Beisa uranium project in South Africa's Free State province towards production.
