The awards reflect the company's leadership in fostering a culture of safety, which is essential for sustaining its role as a leading shipbuilder for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. The emphasis on safety can lead to reduced costs associated with workplace injuries and improve employee morale and retention.

Austal USA plans to continue its focus on safety as it expands its shipbuilding programs for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. With 12 ships currently under construction, including three preparing for sea trials, the company aims to maintain its high safety standards across all operations. The ongoing commitment to safety will likely involve continuous improvement of safety protocols and training programs to ensure the well-being of its workforce.
