Aeroitalia, an Italian airline, is set to expand its international operations in 2027 with the acquisition of new Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The airline, which began operations in 2022, has established a significant domestic presence and is now focusing on international growth.
Chief Commercial Officer Massimo Di Perna announced at Routes Europe 2026 that the airline plans to grow organically outside Italy, leveraging its new fleet to enhance connectivity. Aeroitalia currently operates a mix of aircraft, including 737-800s, ATR 72-600s, and Embraer 175/195s, and expects to receive five 737-8s from Air Lease Corporation starting March 2027. The airline has also formed interline partnerships with major carriers like Air France, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways to facilitate international connections.
