The Mountain Amateur Athletic Club has revealed the finalists for the 64th Western North Carolina Sports Awards Banquet, which will honor the region's top high school athletes. The event is scheduled for May 3 at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville,
North Carolina. Tickets for the banquet are available for $65 each. The awards ceremony will recognize over 100 athletes, with 24 awards and 20 scholarships to be distributed. The finalists were selected from nominations submitted by coaches and athletic directors across Western North Carolina. The event will also feature the presentation of the Riley Howell Courage Award and a Special Olympics Scholarship.
