Valrock, an industrial acquisition firm based in Fort Worth, has completed its first direct acquisition by purchasing a 194,255-square-foot manufacturing facility in Von Ormy, Texas. This acquisition was made in partnership with Austin-based Evergen Equity.
The facility, located near San Antonio, has been a significant part of Smurfit Westrock's production network in South and West Texas for over 25 years. Smurfit Westrock is a global packaging company with operations in 40 countries and $31 billion in net sales. The acquisition aligns with Valrock's strategy of acquiring mission-critical manufacturing facilities leased to operating companies under long-term net lease structures. This approach is expected to generate durable cash flow and benefit from the reshoring of U.S. manufacturing.
