Sandfall Interactive, the developer of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has announced that they will not designate a 'canon' ending for the game, despite working on a sequel. The game offers two possible endings, each with significant narrative consequences.
Writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen stated that the decision to keep the endings ambiguous aligns with the game's thematic elements and allows players to interpret the story personally. This approach, described as a 'Schrodinger's ending,' reflects the developers' intent to maintain narrative flexibility in future projects within the same universe.
