in real industrial environments. Since its inception in 2019, the program has engaged over 1,100 startups from 50 countries, resulting in 26 pilot projects and more than 20 active projects. These projects focus on areas such as supply chain traceability and digital platforms for operational knowledge management, enhancing efficiency and knowledge sharing across Barilla's production sites.
Why It's Important?
Barilla's Good Food Makers program underscores the importance of open innovation in the food industry. By collaborating with startups, Barilla is able to accelerate the development of innovative solutions that can enhance its value chain, from product development to consumer experience. This initiative not only supports the growth of startups but also positions Barilla as a leader in adopting cutting-edge technologies and practices. The program's success could inspire other companies to adopt similar models, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in the industry.
