Hyundai Motor Group has introduced Pleos Connect, an advanced in-vehicle infotainment system marking the company's initial step towards a software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture. The system will debut on the new Grandeur in Korea in May, followed
by a phased global rollout, with the Ioniq 3 as the first European model to feature it. Pleos Connect is built on three pillars: intuitiveness, safety, and openness, and will receive ongoing updates through over-the-air software releases. At its core is Gleo AI, a voice assistant based on a large language model that supports natural-language commands and web searches. The system also includes an App Market for third-party services, with launch partners like Naver, YouTube, Spotify, and Korean music service genie.
