The Platino Awards Xcaret announced its 2026 nominations, celebrating the best in Ibero-American film and television. Leading the nominations are 'Belén' from Argentina and 'Los Domingos' from Spain, each with 11 nominations. The awards ceremony will
take place at the Gran Tlachco Theater in Xcaret Park, Riviera Maya, Mexico, on May 9. The event returns to Mexico after being held in Madrid, Spain, last year. The Platino Awards aim to honor Spanish and Portuguese-language productions, with nominations spanning categories such as best film, best miniseries or TV series, and best long-form series. The awards are supported by various organizations, including UN Tourism and HBO Max.
