The George Street Playhouse has announced its 2026-27 season lineup, featuring Tony Award winners Laura Benanti and Julie White. The playhouse, located at The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, will host a series of performances including Benanti's
one-woman comedy show 'Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares,' which will explore themes of motherhood, people pleasing, and aging. Julie White will star in 'Bad Dates: End Game,' a sequel to Theresa Rebeck's 'Bad Dates,' portraying a 58-year-old widow re-entering the dating scene. The season will also include Kathryn Grody in 'The Unexpected 3rd,' directed by Timothy Near, and Vicki Lawrence in 'Vicki Lawrence & Mama: A Two-Woman Show.' Additionally, Jason Alexander will direct 'The Cocktail Party Effect,' a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch. Tickets for these shows are available to George Street donors and subscribers, with general sales beginning April 28.
