Ja'Niyah Bell and Stratos Triantafilou have been named Section V Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances in their respective sports. Bell, a freshman at Lyons, received over 5,000 votes
after scoring 30 points, grabbing 17 rebounds, and making seven blocks in a basketball game against Clyde-Savannah. Triantafilou, a goalie for Greece Storm, received over 7,000 votes, boasting a .952 save percentage across three games, including a 57-save performance against Webster Schroeder. The recognition is part of a weekly poll conducted by the Democrat and Chronicle, where the public votes for the top athletes based on their performances.
