Finnish textile group Marimekko Corporation has announced its expansion into Indonesia and the Philippines, aiming to bolster its presence in Southeast Asia. The company plans to open its first store in Jakarta, Indonesia, in early summer, in collaboration
with PT Panen Lestari Indonesia, part of the MAP Group. In the Philippines, Marimekko will partner with Rustan Commercial Corporation to gradually open four shop-in-shop spaces in luxury department stores in the Metro Manila region. This expansion aligns with Marimekko's strategy to focus on Asia as a key region for international growth, anticipating a long-term increase in demand for its products.
